Dancehall artiste, Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly known as Samini has stated that colleague Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has been attacking him because he sees him as a threat to his (Shatta’s) music career.
At a recent event dubbed: ‘S Concert’ with over 50 mainstream and upcoming artistes billed to perform, Samini was supposed to perform before Shatta Wale but Wale got onto the stage and spent over 2 hours performing.
This pushed the other performers back into the early mornings. By the time some of the artistes had times to perform, most of the patrons had left.
One of the artistes who couldn’t perform was Samini.
Asked by host Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday, if he believes Shatta Wale regards him as a threat to his music career, Samini said, ‘I think I am a threat to him’.
“He cares so much about my appearance that he had to go to Facebook to attack me. This has been going on since 2006. He has been doing songs to insult me and fabricating stories…,” he said.
Samini further rubbished the perception that he sabotaged Shatta Wale at ‘Movado Live in Ghana concert’ arguing that this wasn’t karma in play.
“People think I sabotaged him not to perform at the Movado concert. So they think its Karma. I even called him to take a group picture with Movado,” he said.
The ‘Linda’ hitmaker blamed the organizers of the event who he said ‘they ought to have informed me if they switched plans. I had to respect my brand and walk.”
