Ghana international Antoine Semenyo found the net as AFC Bournemouth secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park in the FA Cup Round 4.
Everton captain James Tarkowski endured a nightmare outing, conceding a penalty and later making a costly error that led to Bournemouth’s second goal.
Semenyo, who had previously inspired Bournemouth’s comeback win at the same venue in August 2024, won and confidently converted a penalty in the 22nd minute to give his side the lead.
The Cherries extended their advantage before halftime when Daniel Jebbison capitalized on Tarkowski’s mistake to slot home their second goal.
Despite expectations for a thrilling contest, no further goals were scored, allowing Bournemouth to seal a comfortable win and advance to the FA Cup fifth round.
Semenyo’s outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award, further highlighting his brilliant form this season.
The Ghana striker has now recorded nine goals and four assists in 26 appearances across all competitions.
In the FA Cup alone, Semenyo has been particularly impressive, tallying two goals and an assist in just two matches.
