Stephen Baidoo, the President’s nominee for District Chief Executive (DCE) of Sehwi Bodi in the Western North Region, has earned unanimous approval from the district assembly.
All 16 assembly members gave a resounding 100% endorsement of his appointment.
The confirmation ceremony took place at the Church of Pentecost auditorium in Bodi, where Mr. Baidoo was praised for his steadfast dedication to the district’s development and his long-standing commitment to community service.
After receiving the confirmation, Mr. Baidoo expressed sincere gratitude for the overwhelming support and confidence shown by the assembly members and the community. He assured everyone that his tenure would focus on advancing agriculture and improving healthcare in the district.
“I’m deeply humbled by the trust you have shown me today,” he said. “My administration will prioritize the needs of farmers and improve access to quality healthcare. We’ll work together as a team to uplift Sehwi Bodi.”

The new DCE also pledged to work closely with assembly staff and local stakeholders to ensure inclusive and sustainable development across all the district’s communities.
During the event, the Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, who attended the ceremony, expressed full support for Mr. Baidoo’s leadership. He urged him to take strong action against illegal mining activities, which continue to present environmental and social challenges in the region.

“I am confident Mr. Baidoo will uphold the vision of the President and the aspirations of the people of Sehwi Bodi,” the Minister remarked.
The unanimous endorsement marks a fresh start for the people of Sehwi Bodi, who now eagerly anticipate a new phase of progress and development under the leadership of Stephen Baidoo.
