Sefa confirms exit from D-Black’s Black Avenue Muzik

-

Ghanaian singer Sefadzi Abena Amesu, popularly known as Sefa, has announced her departure from Black Avenue Muzik, the label owned by musician and entrepreneur D-Black.

She shared this during an interview with Accra FM on Thursday, October 24, 2024, revealing that she is no longer affiliated with the label.

Addressing the lack of promotional support for her song ‘Vibration,’ she stated, “I no longer work with Black Avenue.”

When asked about her exit, the ‘E Choke’ hitmaker explained that, she has been away from the label “for some time.”

“My contract ended, and like I’ve always said, when you’re working with people you consider family, it’s a roller coaster. Things happen, and there were some business misunderstandings,” she added.

Sefa, who spent about seven years under Black Avenue Muzik, released several successful songs, including ‘Fever,’ ‘E Choke,’ ‘Shuga,’ ‘Player,’ and ‘Vibration.’

In 2022, she won the Afrobeats Song of the Year at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for ‘E Choke.’

Now pursuing an independent career, Sefa has released a new track titled ‘All Over,’ featuring Camidoh.
