Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke made a surprise visit to the Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Dorcas Affo-Toffey, on August 2, 2024.
Mrs. Affo-Toffey shared the delightful news on her X handle.
The MP expressed her joy at Iyke’s visit, noting thatit brought “a touch of Nollywood magic” to Parliament.
A video posted by the MP captured the warm exchange, with Iyke and Affo-Toffey seen in high spirit.
Mrs Affo-Toffey highlighted the importance of such connections that bridge borders, noting the beauty and joy they bring to people’s lives.
“In the grand halls of the Ghanaian Parliament, the legendary Nigerian actor Jim Iyke paid a surprise visit to my office, adding a touch of Nollywood magic. This special moment united Ghana and Nigeria in friendship, proving that connections transcend borders and enrich our lives. You’re welcome home, brother,” she wrote.
Jim Iyke, born James Ikechukwu Esomugha, is a renowned Nigerian actor with roles in over 150 films, including “Last Flight to Abuja” and “Merry Men.”
He is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, founder of Untamed Productions and the Jim Iyke Foundation.
