A 45-year-old security man at the Nasona Oil fuel station at Nasuan near Yunyoo in the North-East Region has been shot dead by three armed men.
Information gathered suggests the man identified as Laari Elisha was shot around 8.30pm on Saturday by the suspected robbers who arrived on a motorbike at the fuel station located at the outskirt the small town.
According to an eyewitness, a gun battle took place before the attackers overpowered the watchman and killed him.
According to sources, the gunmen then searched the pump attendants and bolted with an undisclosed amount of money amidst sporadic shootings.

The police, confirming the attack, said security surveillance across checkpoints in the region has been increased to hunt down the attackers.
The District Police Commander, ASP Stephen Delarport said, police rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call from residents, only to see the victim lying motionless in a bloodied floor.
According to him, the body was confirmed dead by doctors at the Baptist Medical Centre at Nalerigu and with investigations underway with the body to be released to the family after an autopsy.
This is the second murder case only this month involving unknown gunmen in the region. It follows the killing of a palace elder at Gbintri in the East Mamprusi municipality.
