The secret to our success at Hearts of Oak was unity – Jacob Nerttey

-

Former captain of Hearts of Oak, Jacob Nerttey has said the club’s success in Africa competitions seventeen years ago was due to the unity within the management and playing body.
Recounting the club’s dominance in African football, the play maker said the playing body got all the support they needed from the management team at that time.
“Management at that time was committed to our course and we were winning the league consistently and this also helps us when we played the Champions league. Our management members were united and so were we”, Nerttey explained on the Asempa FM’s Ultimate sports show Monday.
Jacob Nerttey also bemoaned the current happenings in his former club and attributed them all to the lack of unity and the change in ownership saying the former management members and players should be drawn closer to the club to help with their experience.
