-

A 13-year-old schoolgirl, Ethel Faf Ali Tottimeh, who went missing from her home in Kasoa on August 21, 2024, has been found safe in Hohoe.

Ethel, who speaks Ewe, Twi, and English, disappeared after leaving home for extra classes and did not return, prompting her family to raise an alarm.

Following widespread sharing of her missing person’s notice on social media, a breakthrough came when a mobile money vendor in Hohoe recognized the young girl.

Ethel had used the vendor’s phone to make a call, and the vendor later noticed the missing person’s post on her WhatsApp page.

The vendor then alerted Ethel’s family, providing them with the number the girl had called.

Using this information, the family tracked her location and successfully found her in Hohoe.

Ethel has since been reunited with her family.

However, it is still unclear how she landed miles away in another region.

The family expressed gratitude to everyone who shared the post and helped in the search for their daughter.
