The Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District Assembly has trained 41 Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) field workers for the upcoming nationwide Digital Addressing System.
The Sawla District Assembly Director, Ahmed Haruna, in an interview with Adom News said, “the digital property addressing system will enable us locate houses and areas when the need arises.”
He added that the trained field workers would be going to the various communities to gather data for the digital property addressing system.
Mr Haruna urged the NABCO field workers to take the digital property and addressing system training serious as it will serve as something historic for them.
The Sawla District NABCO coordinator, Adam Soale Alele, said the digital property addressing system team will collaborate with the Town and Country Planning officials and other stakeholders to ensure the exercise is successful.
He added that, the exercise will take six weeks after a day’s training of the field workers.
He said their only challenge is the rainy season, but they will still make the exercise successful.
Some of the trainees expressed excitement about making history by being the first group to embark on the exercise.
