The Rotary E-Club of Savannah, Ghana, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), has announced a groundbreaking project to construct and equip a community library in the East Gonja district.
This initiative aims to tackle the region’s pressing educational challenges and foster literacy and learning among local communities.
Speaking at the presentation and fundraising dinner, the Charter President, Lawuratu Musah-Saaka, revealed that the project was estimated to cost GH₵650,000.
She made an appeal to organizations, individuals, and fellow Rotarians to support this critical mission, which will play a pivotal role in driving community development.
Beyond education, she highlighted the club’s broader vision to address critical issues such as peacebuilding and conflict prevention, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, community economic development, and environmental protection.
The keynote speaker, Alhaji Yusif Ibrahim, CEO of Dara Salam Group of Companies, lauded the club’s dedication to community development.
He urged members to remain steadfast in their commitment to integrity, service, and creating lasting change.
This transformational project, once completed, will significantly enhance literacy and educational opportunities in the East Gonja district, setting a strong foundation for sustainable development across the Savannah Region.
