The Executive Secretary of the Importers and Exporters Association, Samson Asaki Awingobit has declared his candidacy for the National Chairmanship of the People’s National Convention (PNC) in the party’s upcoming internal elections on August 31, 2024.
His candidacy will be confirmed once the party formally begins the nomination process for candidates.
On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, Awingobit’s media aide, along with key party executives, picked up his nomination forms from the PNC Headquarters in Accra.
In a statement, Awingobit emphasized his commitment to promoting healthy competition and upholding the principles of the PNC’s election campaign.

Mr. Samson Asaki Awingobit has expressed his intention to vie for the National Chairmanship position in the internal elections of the People’s National Convention, scheduled for August 31, 2024.
