New Patriotic Party (NPP) Youth Organiser, Henry Nana Boakye, disclosed this on Accra-based Oman FM, monitored by Adomonline.com, Thursday while addressing allegation of nepotism in the Akufo-Addo led administration.

The NDC, led by Mr Gyamfi, released a list of some 51 people as family and friends appointed by President Akufo-Addo to occupy positions in government.

This, he said, smacks of hypocrisy and double standards of a party which accused former President John Mahama of doing same.

But, Mr Boakye denied the allegations, explaining that, majority of those named have no close ties with the President.

He, however, stressed Mr Gyamfi, who is leading the charge, has no moral right to accuse anyone when he [Gyamfi] is also running a nepotistic communications directorate.

“The moment Sammy Gyamfi won the position; he brought his friends and family members from Ashanti, Bono and Ahafo regions to lead NDC’s communications,” he alleged.

Mr Boakye named among others Richard Adjei an NDC youth activist who has been moved to Accra to speak for the NDC on various media platforms while seniors like former NDC Central Regional chairman, Bernard Allotey Jacobs have been left out.

The NPP youth leader said the conduct of Mr Gyamfi is a typical case of the kettle calling the pot black.

“Even this small position, you [Gyamfi] is doing family and friends with it,” Mr Boakye noted.
