The National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sammy Gyamfi, has dismissed claims of traveling in a large convoy accompanied by police dispatch riders in Accra over the weekend.
A former Presidential Staffer, Justice Abeeku, in a social media post, alleged that he encountered Sammy Gyamfi in a convoy while driving in Accra.
However, the NDC official, in a statement, described the claims as “false and maliciously contrived.”
“I was nowhere near the said convoy, nor have I ever sanctioned or used any such convoy. As an ordinary citizen of Ghana, I do not go about my business in such convoys,” he clarified.
Mr. Gyamfi has therefore urged the public to disregard the claims, describing them as an intentional attempt to tarnish his reputation and create disaffection.
He reaffirmed his commitment to upholding transparency and integrity while urging Ghanaians to be wary of misinformation and verify facts before accepting or sharing them.
