Ningo-Prampram Member of Parliament(MP) Samuel Nartey George, has advised the New Patriotic Party(NPP) government against the signing and backdating of contracts after the 2024 general elections.
The outspoken politician has said the incoming John Mahama-led administration will not tolerate such moves.
In a post on Facebook, he raised concerns over an attempt to sign a contract on the Ghana.gov platform.
The lawmaker warned that it should cease with immediate effect.
“The attempt to sign a contract on the Ghana.gov platform should cease with immediate effect,” he stated, adding that such actions undermine the integrity of governance and accountability during the transition period.
He assured Ghanaians of the incoming government’s commitment to closely monitor activities related to contract signing.
“We are monitoring all activities currently underway regarding the signing and backdating of contracts. Notice is duly served,” he cautioned, emphasising the need for transparency and adherence to proper procedures.
