Roundtable Dialogue calls for consensus candidate to challenge NPP and NDC

-

In a move to rescue Ghana from the grip of corrupt politicians, the Roundtable Dialogue (RTD) has called on all independent presidential aspirants to unite and form a consensus candidate to contest the 2024 elections.

The RTD, a social purpose think-tank, has been advocating for a change in the country’s leadership, citing the failure of the two major political parties, New Patriotic Party (NPP) and National Democratic Congress (NDC), to address the nation’s problems.

Speaking at a press conference, Secretary of RTD Dr. Ofosu Barko, lamented the state of the country, saying that Ghana has been “raped beyond comprehension” by corrupt leaders who have enriched themselves at the expense of the people.

He called on all like-minded individuals to join the RTD in its quest for a better Ghana.

During the RoundTable Dialogue, Kojo Gyasi Nimako seized the opportunity to urge Chedda, Alan Kyerematen, and all Nkrumaist parties to join forces to rescue the country from the dominance of the two major political parties, NPP and NDC.

The RTD has proposed a consensus candidate to contest the presidential election, citing the success of the “South Dayi Principle,”where smaller parties and independents united to present a candidate to contest in the constituency.

The group has also called for a “Ballot Box Democratic Awakening” to address issues of ballot rigging, looting, and sharing of votes.

The RTD’s message resonated with many Ghanaians, who have been calling for a change in the country’s leadership. The group’s call for unity and a consensus candidate has been seen as a beacon of hope for a country that has been plagued by corruption and mismanagement.

As the 2024 elections approach, the RTD’s message is clear: it’s time for a change, and it’s time for Ghanaians to unite and demand a better future for themselves and their country.
