“The world today faces unprecedented challenges, economic uncertainties, health crisis and social inequalities in Africa and Ghana in particular is not exempted from these trials. Under President Donald Trump’s administration, presently, a comprehensive freeze has been placed, leading to the suspension of numerous programs managed by the US Aid”.
“This abrupt cessation has led to the consequences, particularly in the realm of public health. For instance, in South Africa, individuals like Sam Kelly who relied on the USA backed antiretroviral treatments for HIV have been left without essential medications, jeopardizing their health and survival. The freeze has also disrupted critical health services worldwide, including HIV treatment trials and maternal health programs, leaving millions vulnerable.” he said.
The Rotary Club held charter presentation and fundraising event aimed at purchasing ICT equipment for the Mansoman Senior High School and the roofing of the Ntinanko M/A and JHS.
