Rotary Club Ghana Urges Political Parties to Commit to Peaceful Elections

The Rotary Club of Ghana has called on all political parties to commit to a peaceful and violence-free election on December 7, as the country prepares to go to the polls.

The Rotary Club expressed its concern about the rising tensions that have characterized the campaign period so far.

The club, therefore, urged all political parties to prioritize the safety and well-being of citizens and to ensure that the election is conducted in a peaceful and transparent manner.

Pas District Government of the Rotary Club, David Amankwaa says “We urge all political parties to commit to a peaceful and violence-free election and to ensure that their supporters do not engage in any acts of violence or intimidation.”

The Rotary Club, Kumasi, also called on the Electoral Commission to ensure that the election is conducted in a free and fair manner.

The Rotary Club of Ghana also announced that it will be deploying observers to various polling stations across the country to monitor the election and to report any incidents of violence or irregularities.

The Rotary Club is celebrating its 60th Anniversary charging members and political parties to ensure a peaceful election.

President of the Rotary Club of Kumasi, Nana Afia Osei Asamoah indicated that the Club would continue to expand through innovative ways in previous years to attract more members.
