In a collaborative effort to raise awareness about breast cancer and provide essential health services, the Rotaract Clubs of Accra Ring Road Central and Adenta in partnership with the Guba Foundation organised a successful breast cancer awareness project.
The initiative held at the Kwame Nkrumah Gardens on October 19, 2024 offered free screenings to market vendors, facilitated by Dr. DoGood and Claron Health.
These screenings included vital checks such as breast cancer examinations, blood pressure monitoring, and blood sugar level assessments.
Approximately 67 vendors took advantage of this opportunity to prioritize their health.
A key highlight of the event was the presence of Joyce Baah Larbi, a breast cancer survivor shared her inspiring story and provided valuable insights into breast cancer prevention and early detection.
Her personal experience resonated with attendees, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings and a healthy lifestyle.
The project concluded with positive feedback from participants, who expressed gratitude for the opportunity to access essential healthcare services and learn more about breast cancer prevention.
The Rotaract Clubs and Guba Foundation are committed to continuing their efforts to promote breast cancer awareness and provide support to affected individuals and communities.
