Richard Jakpa allegedly assaulted while on ballot printing supervision exercise

Businessman Richard Jakpa has reportedly been assaulted while supervising ballot printing for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Mr. Jakpa is said to have been attacked by a suspected supporter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Innolink on Friday.

The incident has been reported to the Kaneshie Police Station for further investigation.

In a post on Facebook, the NDC Director of IT and Elections, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, vowed that the party will pursue the incident to its logical conclusion.

He disclosed that the NDC is expecting Innolink to provide CCTV footage of the incident to assist in the investigation.

In the meantime, he has called on the Ghana Police Service to take swift action and ensure that the individual responsible for this assault is brought to justice.
