The Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) has elected the General Superintendent of Assemblies of God, Rev. Prof. Paul Yaw Frimpong Manso as the new president to succeed Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah.
Rev. Prof. Paul Yaw Frimpong Manso was presented to the members in the GPCC college for a vote after he was appointed by the Executive Council and he won by unanimous decision.
His nomination by the National Executive Committee of the Council was put to the council’s national delegate’s conference on Wednesday, 5, 2018.

The General Secretary of the council, Rev. Emmanuel T. Barrigah who announced Rev. Prof. Frimpong-Manso’s nomination described him as an effective communicator, proactive and realistic leader, who was leading the church to do great things, especially an expansion drive.
With the nomination out of the way, the President of the Council, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah led delegates to discuss the voting method which the delegates accepted to be voting by hand rather by ballot.

Speaking with Adom News, Apostle Prof. Opoku Onyinah congratulated the delegates and urged them to support the new President to carry on with the vision of the organization for the betterment of the country.
Rev. Prof. Paul Yaw Frimpong Manso thanked the executives and members of the organization for the confidence reposed in him and assured them to build on the achievement of his predecessor.
A date is yet to be set for the inauguration of the new President.
