Remain a ‘dead goat’ – NAPO tells Mahama [Video]

-

Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has told former President John Mahama to remain in his dead goat syndrome.

Addressing NPP supporters at Juaso in the Ashanti Region, NAPO asserted that the utterances of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer in the 2016 and 2020 elections showed he has never had the progress of Ghana at heart.

He cited the cancellation of nursing and teacher trainee allowances and told Ghanaians stop charging their mobile phones excessively if they want a stable electricity.

It would be recalled that the ex-President in 2015 said he had become impervious to threats of strikes and demonstrations in Ghana and will not yield to any of such threats in the then upcoming election year.

Adopting what he calls a “dead-goat syndrome”, the former President said he would not be hoodwinked by such strategies by workers.

However, Mr Mahama later clarified that he used the idiomatic expression due to the frustration associated with the deregulation of petroleum prices.

Mr Mahama said he could not bear the mass labour unrest that was prevailing at the time.

But the former Energy Minister has insisted that, nothing about Mr Mahama has changed.

“To make matters worse, he said he is a dead goat who was not afraid of knife. Since no dead goat has ever come back to life, he should remain so,” he added.
