Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has strongly denied rumors circulating on social media that he is set to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.
In an official statement issued by his Director of Communications, the claims were described as “entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”
The statement also dismissed reports that the senator made comments about musician Tuface Idibia and polygamy, labeling them as false.
“Our attention has been drawn to recent false reports suggesting that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation,” the statement read.
It further noted that, as a public figure married to a popular actress, it is not unusual for bloggers to spread falsehoods to attract attention.
However, it emphasized that Senator Nwoko remains focused on his national assignment and political duties, with no time for distractions.
“This office remains open to journalists seeking accurate information, and we urge media practitioners to verify facts before publication to avoid the legal repercussions of spreading misinformation,” the statement added.
The statement concluded by advising the public to disregard the rumors and rely solely on official communication from Senator Nwoko’s office.
The rumors gained traction after actress Regina Daniels, Nwoko’s wife, deactivated her Instagram account, sparking widespread speculation about trouble in their marriage.
Additionally, Chika Ike’s recent announcement of her pregnancy fueled assumptions of a possible connection with the billionaire politician.
Despite the social media buzz, Senator Nwoko’s office remains firm in its position, dismissing the claims as baseless and urging the public to steer clear of misinformation.
