The Founder and Leader of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev Isaac Owusu Bempah, has called on Ghanaians to massively vote ‘Yes’ in the upcoming December referendum.
According to the controversial man of God, the government’s stance on the referendum should be the focus and not otherwise.

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the House of Chiefs have opposed the government’s position on the referendum and urged the electorate to vote ‘No’.
However, Rev. Owusu-Bempah said he is not happy about the NDC’s posture on the matter considering the fact that they had all this while been cooperating constructively with the government and other stakeholders to campaign for a ‘Yes’ vote.
“Initially I didn’t understand what the referendum was all about and as I was taken through it I realised it was a good thing and will go a long way in helping and strengthening our country just as our president wants it.

“It will therefore not be right to reject what is good for us and so I want to urge Ghanaians to go out in their numbers and vote ‘Yes’. I was informed that the NDC agreed to vote for ‘Yes’. I don’t know why they have changed their mind,” he told Accra based Neat FM, monitored by Adomonline.com.

A nationwide referendum will be conducted on December 17, 2019, to enable citizens to decide if an entrenched clause in the 1992 Constitution Article 55(3) should be amended to permit political parties in Ghana to participate in local government elections.
The government needs at least 40 per cent of eligible voters turning out to vote and at least 75 per cent voting in favour for its ‘Yes’ campaign to succeed.
