Award-winning Ghanaian actress, Ama K. Abebrese says she would only star in local movies if they are of standard.
According to her, her dealbreaker when it comes to accepting roles for movies lies with the technical quality of the movie and not budget.

She made the revelation in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Wednesday.
“No one in Kumawood has approached me but if I will feature, it will be about quality. As long as it has quality, I will be more than happy. I have been in the film and the media industry for about 20 years to know [what constitutes quality]”

Ama eulogised the Kumawood industry, saying “Kumawood is amazing and hilarious and the kind of stories they tell are good. If it’s of good quality, I am in. Quality is my dealbreaker. I can’t shoot a whole film in two days or one week…”
