“The only poll that matters is the one which will happen on the 7th of December.” This is the assertion of President Nana Akufo-Addo on the latest Afrobarometer report.

The latest survey is predicting the President might not get the 50%+1 benchmark for a one touch victory in the 2020 elections.
“Compared to 2017, the proportion of respondents who said they would vote for the New Patriotic Party has dwindled by 15 percentage points from 49% to 34% while the share who said they would vote for the NDC remained unchanged 22%,” the report said.

This, the President during his media encounter, is convinced might not represent the true reflection on the ground.
Enumerating his achievements, especially in education in just three years in office, President Akufo-Addo said he believes Ghanaians will reward him.

“The only poll that matters is the one which will happen on the 7th of December. There were polls that said I couldn’t be here, I will never be here but I’m here. What is important is my programme and what I’m carrying. When it’s time for Ghanaians to comment on it they will comment on it and it will be a positive one,” he added.
