Austrian club RB Salzburg has officially signed Ghanaian teenager Edmund Baidoo.
The talented midfielder has committed to a five-year contract with the team, making the move from Norwegian side Sogndal IL.
The Bundesliga club reportedly secured Baidoo’s transfer for €3.3 million, with an additional €1.2 million in potential add-ons.
At just 18-years-old, Baidoo has already made a significant impact, with 10 goal involvements in 18 starts in Norway’s First Division this season. He also contributed five goals and assists in three cup matches.
Baidoo joined Sogndal in March 2024 from Ghanaian Division Two team AsanSka Football Club and quickly became a standout performer.
His impressive form attracted interest from two Premier League clubs, but he has chosen to continue his development in Europe with Salzburg.
