Ras Kuuku reveals what fuels his musical creativity [Video]

“My songs are inspired by the life I have lived. Music is food for your soul, so as a musician you have to take the needed time to arrange and put it out well to satisfy the souls of your music lovers,” said award-winning reggae and dancehall artiste Ras Kuuku during  an interview with Adom TV’s Maame Boatemaa on the Badwam Ahosepe show.

The ‘Wo’ hitmaker explained that his music is not only a reflection of his personal experiences but also draws inspiration from the lives of others and the world around him.

Nonetheless, Ras Kuuku emphasized that what sets him apart in the music industry are his unique lyrics and his voice.

“My lyrics and my voice are my unique elements in the music industry,” he stated, underscoring the importance of authenticity in his craft.

His soulful approach to songwriting and performance has made him a standout figure in Ghana’s reggae and dancehall scene, captivating listeners both locally and internationally.

Meanwhile, Ras Kuuku forms part of the tall list of musicians bill for the The 2024 Zongo Fair, set for November 23 and 24 at Accra New Town College, which promises to be an exciting cultural celebration.

This two-day event will showcase the vibrant heritage of Zongo communities with exhibitions, live music performances, and other entertainment.

With a special focus on fostering unity and peace ahead of Ghana’s December 7 general elections, the Zongo Fair is set to bring people together in celebration of culture, diversity, and national harmony.
