Former Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Albert Yaya Commey, has thrown his full weight behind Kurt E.S. Okraku as the perfect choice for the Association’s presidential seat.
The Aduana Stars Chief Executive Officer believes the Dreams FC owner is unique among all those vying for the seat.
Mr Commey told Asempa FM that per the qualities, knowledge and experience of Mr Okraku, he will choose him any day ahead of the other contestants.
“He is one of the qualities we have in this country and for me it’s very important if we get a quality person to lead; we are at the crossroad and it is very crucial time,” he told Kwadwo Mensah Moshosho.
“He has asked for my opinion and I have told him to go for it because it is time he has to serve his country with his God given gift.
“He has gone to study about the game and what he has done so far shows when he is given the mantle, he can do it.
“He has not declared his intention yet because, he wants to identify the problem of Ghana football first to know the best remedy for it; also he wants his manifesto to be a reflection of the aspirations of those he is coming to lead.
“So far, all those who have stepped up to contest for the seat are fine gentlemen but if you ask me, I will tell you plain it’s Kurt Okraku,” he stressed.
Notable among those that have publicly declared their intention to contest the upcoming GFA elections are George Afriyie, Winfred Osei Parma, Nana Yaw Amponsah and Alhaji Karim Grusah.
