Queen mother installs Bawumia as ‘Internet Chief’

The queen mother of Nsawam in the Eastern region, Nana Awo Yaa Amankwah I, has installed the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as ‘Ntentankesehene’ to wit Chief of the Internet or web.

This was at a brief ceremony at the palace during Dr Bawumia’s visit to the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency on Friday.

The queen mother stated that, the chieftaincy title is in recognition of the Vice President’s digitalisation drive.

Dr Bawumia was accompanied by incumbent MP and NPP Parliamentary candidate, Frank Annoh-Dompreh who doubles as the Majority Chief Whip.

He was giving a rousing welcome by constituents.

For the part of the Nsawam chief, Nana Kwame Ansah I, he described the visit as historic.

“I thank God for bringing Bawumia to my palace today. It’s historic for the people of Nsawam, portraying his knowledge in tradition and customers. I’m very grateful. I believe his digitisation agenda shall come to pass, hence we install him as ‘Ntentankesehene,” he lauded.
