Naa Odofoley Nortey is amulti-talentedrenaissance woman. She is aprivate legal practitioner with enormous experience in various areas, having been at the bar for 14 years. By dint of her hard work, she is a partner at Beyuo & Co, a law firm in Accra.
A methodical trial and appellate lawyer, Naa represents several major local and international clients in debt management and collection and has a wealth of experience in this field. She has advised and represented clients on significant key commercial law, real estate and family law disputes.An astute and versatile lawyer, she has carved a niche for herself in commercial litigation. She has been engaged by several major banks as well as Non-banking financial institutions in an advisory capacity as well as doing day-to-day legal work on their behalf. She is currently the Board Chairman of Abokobi Area Rural Bank.
She is a member of theLegal Aid Board in Ghana after having done a pro bono legal work for clients of that organization for over 10 years.She loves to read classics and is very interested in the works of Charles Dickens and the Bronte sisters.
Naa is an avid football enthusiast, having been introduced to the world of football administration when she undertook her national service with the National Sports Council some 20 years ago. She brings to her new appointment, her varied knowledge and experience in mediation and arbitration to help resolve the issues in Ghana Football. As a go-to lawyer, she is expected to live up to the challenge of being appointed a member of the Normalisation Committee formed by football’s world governing body and the confederation of African Football (CAF) in consultation with the government of Ghana to replace the Ghana Football Association Executive Committee.
