Music producer Buddy Roro, also a member of Esther Smith’s management team, has responded to recent claims made by gospel artist Lady Prempeh regarding her exclusion from Esther Smith’s Accra concert.
Lady Prempeh had expressed disappointment, stating that although she was billed to perform and had attended the dress rehearsal, she was not called to the stage on the event day.
She further lamented that neither Esther Smith nor her management reached out to offer an explanation or apology.
However, Buddy Roro has refuted Lady Prempeh’s claims, suggesting that the singer’s comments were an attempt to gain publicity ahead of her upcoming music release.
He acknowledged that Lady Prempeh did attend the dress rehearsal but explained that her performance was skipped due to timing issues.
According to Roro, Lady Prempeh was scheduled to perform at 6:37 PM, but she arrived three hours late due to delays from her styling team.
By the time she arrived, Esther Smith was already on stage, marking the final performance of the evening.
Roro emphasized that Lady Prempeh was not the only artist who was skipped; others who arrived late also missed their performances as there was no time left to adjust the schedule.
Roro further stated that Lady Prempeh and her team had repeatedly demanded a public apology, but the management declined, believing they were not at fault.
Instead, Roro asserted that Lady Prempeh should apologize to the organizers for arriving late and disrupting the schedule.
He accused her of capitalizing the buzz around Esther Smith to chase clout.
