Presidential staffers: Is Akufo-Addo creating additional constituency at Jubilee House – Sammy Gyamfi

-

A National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communicator, Sammy Gyamfi, has asked the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, to come clear on the reason for appointing up to 998 staffers at the Presidency.
According to the vociferous NDC Communicator, he could not fathom why the presidency will have this high number of staffers at a time when the country’s economy is not doing well.

Some Ghanaians have expressed shock at what they perceive as the ‘large number’ of staff at the seat of government.
And, the NDC communicator says he is equally shocked at the numbers hence asked if the President was creating another constituency at the seat of government.
To him, the President will help Ghanaians come to a valid conclusion on the high numbers if he presents them with a right explanation on the high numbers.

Reacting to this comment, a Communicator of the NPP, Hopeson Adorye said Ghanaians should be rest assured that the President has appointed “competent men and women to help him steer the affairs of the state”.
“These are competent men, look at their titles, professors and men with great knowledge who can help the cause of the president, they are unlike the ones appointed by Mahama…,” he said.
