Popularity not the key to victory – Spio Garbrah

-

A flagbearer aspirant for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah says he is optimistic of leading his party into victory in the 2020 elections.

The former Minister for Trade and Industry believes even though victory in Ghana’s election is not fully about the level of popularity a person has, he has a lot of experience when it comes to leadership and the work he has done for the country over the years are evidence that he is more competent for the flag bearer position and also for the office of the president.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Tuesday, Dr Spio Garbrah explained that his campaign is aimed at getting the right leaders for Ghana who can work efficiently to develop the economy of Ghana.

Spio-Garbrah said his campaign is not aimed at demeaning his opponents to prove to delegates that he is active and the right person for the party but to create opportunities for the youth and women and ensure a healthy environment for business development.
