Popular gospel musician loses father

Renowned gospel musician Kofi Owusu Peprah is grieving the passing of his father and mentor, Rev. George Owusu Mensah.

The esteemed minster of God passed away in the early hours of Sunday, November 10, 2024.

Known for his timeless worship songs like Matwen Awurade Anim and Wo Nkutoo Na Wos3 Ayeyi, Rev. Mensah was not only a spiritual leader but a musical pioneer whose soul-stirring hymns continue to resonate with worshippers across Ghana.

Until his passing, he served as the senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, where his ministry touched countless lives.

Reacting to the loss, Kofi Owusu Peprah expressed both sorrow and faith, noting that while he is dumbfounded, he finds comfort in knowing his father is on the wings of angels.

In a heartfelt tribute, he shared, “Perplexed, but not in despair! Thank you, Daddy, see you on the Resurrection Day. It’s going to take a while… But I promise, every time is Worship Time. I encourage myself knowing I HONORED YOU.”
