Bob Saget has died at the age of 65, it has been reported.
The comedian and actor passed away last night in a hotel in Orlando, Florida, whilst on a stand-up tour.
The 65-year-old is best-known for playing Danny Tanner on the ABC sitcom Full House between 1987 and 1995, later reprising the role in its sequel Fuller House in 2016.
Saget was pronounced dead at the Ritz-Carlton Orlando on Sunday, though the circumstances of his death are yet to be confirmed by authorities.
Orange County Sheriff’s Office however has said that “no signs of foul play or drug use” have been found in the case.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said: “Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room.”
They added: “The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
And when asked on social media whether their statement was in reference to the comedian of the same name, authorities responded “yes.”
Saget had been touring the US, with recent dates taking him to venues in Florida. He performed at a show in Jacksonville on Saturday night and later tweeted about the audience.
He commented in a post on Twitter: “Loved tonight’s show @PV_ConcertHall in Jacksonville. Appreciative audience. Thanks again to @RealTimWilkins for the opening.
I had no idea I did a 2 hr set tonight. I’m happily addicted again to this sh*t.”
