The Ghana Police Service has detained and interdicted Constable Alonsi Elizabeth following allegations of assault on a female colleague.
The Police report indicates that Constable Alonsi poured hot water on the victim after a dispute between them.
In a statement, the Service confirmed that the suspect is in police custody and will face both internal disciplinary action and legal proceedings.
The victim, who sustained injuries to her face and back, is in stable condition and is receiving ongoing medical treatment and support, the statement further stated.
