The Greater Accra Regional Police Command has turned down the decision of the Coalition of Aggrived Menzgold customers to petition President Akufo-Addo.
The customers of the embattled gold dealership firm scheduled to petition President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 over their locked up investments at 1:30pm
A statement signed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Frederick Adu Anim said the command acknowledges the receipt of a letter dated February 6, 2020 from the aggrieved customers.
However, it added the customers had already demonstrated on the same subject matter in less than six months and will not tolerate further demonstrations.
The Command stressed “We are concentrating on the fight against robbery and other violent crimes as we enter the threshold of the year as a result, cannot accept any form of demonstration or picketing.
