The Ghana Police Service will be using technology to complement the work of officers on the ground during the Easter festivities at Kwahu in the Eastern region.
As Kwahu is a hot spot for funfair during Easter, police have announced they would use drone technology to detect and combat crime.

Officer of the Ghana Police Service, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh disclosed this on Adom
FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem
Friday.
He explained that, the Drone Squad of the Ghana Police Service has been deployed to Kwahu to help detect crime and relay information to the police personnel on the ground to arrest the culprits.
Also, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh said about 700 police personnel have been deployed to Kwahu to support the Eastern Regional Command for an incident-free Easter festivities.

He advised the public to be
vigilante and cooperate with the police to ensure an incident-free and lively
Easter festivities.
Though they have police personnel at every nook and cranny, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh urged revelers to desist from walking in dark and quiet places during the festivities to avoid attacks or being robbed.
