Some New Weija-stationed Police Officers have arrested two Nigerien who are suspected to be armed robbers.
The two, Malik Bashiru, 32, and Abdul Aziz Tahiru, 38 were arrested at Amanfrom, a suburb of Weija at 10:50 am on 24th April, 2018 by a team from the Rapid Deployment Force.

According to the police, the two Niger nationals who were riding a Bawue Motor Bike with registration number M-15, GR 4107 refused to stop when instructed to do so.
The RDF team, however managed to arrest them after a hot chase.

A pistol, Ruger SR45, No.38064386, 1 empty magazine, 4 assorted used mobile phones, 2 Wrist watches, 1 Ear piece, 1 Ring and a sun glass were found on them after search.
They allegedly tried bribing the police with an amount of GHC 2,000 which the police rejected.
The suspects together with the exhibits were sent to the Police Station.
