Police recover stolen pickup belonging to Ursula Owusu

The Ghana Police Service has recovered a stolen Nissan pickup truck belonging to Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful.

The vehicle was among items stolen during a break-in at her office on December 9, 2024, amid unrest following the December 7 elections.

At a press briefing on Thursday, December 12, ACP Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs for the Ghana Police Service, confirmed the recovery and highlighted ongoing efforts to restore order.

“Through an intelligence-led operation, we recovered the stolen vehicle, which is now in the custody of the Dansoman Police. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend the individuals responsible,” she stated.

The police also announced the arrest of 17 additional suspects in connection with post-election violence, bringing the total number of arrests to 123.

ACP Ansah-Akrofi reassured the public of the police’s commitment to cracking down on perpetrators of the unrest and maintaining peace.
