Police arrest suspect for stealing EPA vehicle in Tarkwa

The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the theft of a Toyota Land Cruiser belonging to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Tarkwa, Western Region.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen in the early hours of April 15, 2025, from the residence of an EPA employee at Budo City, a suburb of Tarkwa.

The suspect, identified as Salifu Gariba, was apprehended on April 16, 2025, by officers of the Northern Regional Police Command at Kukobila, along the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway.

The stolen vehicle, a Toyota Land Cruiser (PC) with registration number GS 1845-23, was successfully recovered during the operation.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be processed for court as investigations continue.
