A 4-year-old girl was nearly killed when she was mysteriously attacked by pigs Thursday.
According to reports, the pigs nearly chewed off her head when the toddler was going on an errand.
This unfortunate incident occurred at Ayibe Town in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra region.
Mother of the victim, Akua Serwaa in an interview with Adom News reporter, Kofi Adjei expressed shock at the unfortunate incident.
She said, she sent her daughter on an errand but minutes later, she heard people shouting, trying to save the young girl from the animals.
“I rushed out to see what was happening only to see the pigs chewing my daughter” she noted.
The distraught mother said, neighbours managed to save her daughter who sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the St Barnabas hospital for medical attention.
Also, Assembly member for New Weija electoral area, Hon. Oduro Ampaw bemoaned how owners of the pigs allow them to loiter in the area.
He revealed that, several complaints have been lodged about pigs attacking residents but the owners have turned a deaf ear to them.
On the way forward, Hon. Ampaw urged residents to arm themselves and kill the rampaging pigs should they attack anyone.
Meanwhile, some angry residents called on the Assembly man not to waste his time because they already armed to kill the pigs.
