Two passengers have died while two others are in critical conditions in a fatal accident at Kesse-Wokan near Awutu Bereku in the Central region.
According to the Awutu Bereku Motor, Traffic and Transport Department Station Officer, Chief Inspector Saidu Musah, the accident occurred due to a head-on collision between a Howo Tipper truck with registration number GN1569-16 and a Nissan private car with registration number GW5369-16 on the Kasoa Cape Coast Highway.

He said the private car was from Accra towards Cape Coast and while overtaking vehicles ahead of it at Kesse-Wokan, collided with the tipper truck loaded with stones from Winneba to Kasoa, killing the driver and passenger in the Nissan vehicle instantly.
The driver of the tipper truck has been referred to Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased have also been sent to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital mortuary.
The accident vehicles have been sent to the Awutu Bereku Police station for examination and testing.
