A group believed to be anti-Agona West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Marigold Assan, were engaged in a free-for-all brawl with some of her loyalists at a press conference organised to call for her removal.
A group calling itself Concerned NPP Members organised the press conference Wednesday morning to call for the MCE’s removal only for the venue to be turned into a boxing arena.
The group is accusing Mrs Assan of non-performance and bringing division into the party in the area.

Leader for the group, Benjamin Kedeke, says the party is losing its vibrancy in the area because Mrs Assan has neglected them, adding that her removal will bring them some relief and bring hope to the party again.
But before they could make their grievances known to the press, loyalists of Mrs Assan stormed the venue to disrupt the meeting, resulting in a free-for-all fight.

Adom News’ Kofi Adjei reports that it took the intervention of some security officials to bring calm to the venue.
Benjamin Kedeke however insists that President Akufo-Addo must remove the MCE in order to bring peace to the area.
