The boycott forced authorities of the school to disperse the students in order to address the issue of bedbugs.
According to some students, management of the school has turned a blind eye to the issue of bedbugs and other pressing needs.
“We can no longer bear this. Because of the situation, some of us had to abandon our beds last night and sleep on the floor, others on the trunks”, an angry student said.

When Adom News’ Kwame Yankah got to the school, students were seen with their belongings moving out in groups.
Others were seen loitering about as they least expected a break within this week.
Apart from bedbugs, the students say insanitary conditions in the school including messy washrooms are among reasons behind their agitation.

Meanwhile, management of the school says there are plans to fumigate the dormitories before the students return next week.
However the issue of absence of water was disputed as they say water tanks have been filled with the school’s kitchen having access to water to prepare food for the students.
