Some traders at the Santana market have picked form for late Kyeremanten Agyarko’s wife to contest the upcoming by-election in the name of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The traders and some polling station executives of the ruling party say Lydia Alhassan, a “supposed second wife” of the late Member of Parliament is the reason the party won the 2016 poll in the constituency.
The spokesperson for the traders, Kojo Annor Fosu, said the choice of Lydia Agyarko is the only surest bet for the party to retain the seat hence their reason for the payment of the form.
