A 33-year-old-man identified as Douglas Kalwi, an Assin Fosu-based Mason has suffered severe injuries after an ethanol rubber container, exploded and caught fire around him.
The victim who is currently on admission at the St. Francis Xavier Hospital in Assin Fosu in the Central region explained he bought the new container to store water at a construction site where he works.

In an interview with Adom News, Douglas said it was an ordinary water container he bought without knowledge of what was originally in the container.
“I heated a cutlass to open the rubber container to make way for the water storage but the container suddenly exploded when I started cutting with the cutlass,” he explained.
