A man, believed to be in his 30s, has been found dead in a storm drain at Kobilmahigu in Tamale in the Northern region.
The Assemblyman for the area, Iddrisu Mohammed Mustapha, said he believes the deceased might have been a victim of the last heavy downpour in the Metropolis.
According to the Assemblyman, he received a call from one of the residents in the area that a lifeless body had been found in a storm drain at his electoral area (Kobilmahigu Electoral Area) and he rushed to the scene and it was true.
He said, he quickly reported it to the chief of the community and then rushed to the police station to report.
Mr Iddrisu said the man might have drowned somewhere and the water carried him to his area because that was not the first time a lifeless body had been found in that same storm drain.
The body has been sent to the Tamale Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
