The family of the late Kofi Annan, Monday called on former President John Mahama to officially inform him of the death of the former UN Secretary-General.
Mr Mahama posted on his Facebook account Wednesday that the family also informed him on the funeral arrangements for the celebrated diplomat.

The former president also lauded the achievements of Kofi Annan, describing him as a source of pride to all Ghanaians.
“Kofi Annan has for years been a source of pride to every Ghanaian and almost all Africans. His good name and reputation robbed off positively on us as a country,” he wrote.

Kofi Annan died in Switzerland on August 18, 2018 at age 80. He is expected to receive a state burial in the Ghanaian capital, Accra on September 13.
