Adom TV held its fourth edition of the Adom TV Sectoral Debate at the Accra Digital Center on Friday, September 20, 2024, in preparation for the December general elections.
This important event provided a platform for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) to present convincing arguments for why Ghanaians should vote for them.
During the Road Sectorial Debate, former Deputy Road Minister, Isaac Adjei Mensah highlighted the NDC’s achievements in the road sector and what should be expected if they win the December polls.
According to Adjei Mensah, former President, John Mahama oversaw the completion of 78,402 kilometres of roads before leaving office, compared to Akufo-Addo’s record of just over 6,000 kilometres.
“Before leaving office, Mahama completed 78,402 km of roads, more than Akufo-Addo’s two terms. Mahama left 41% of good roads, 33% fair, and 23% poor. John Mahama constructed over 8,000 km of roads in his one term, while Akufo-Addo did a little over 6,000 km in two terms.”
He pledged that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will use the collateralized Road Fund for road maintenance if the party wins the 2024 elections.
